The 2006 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation
(ICRA 2006) will be held in Orlando, Florida (Lake Buena Vista)
from May 15 to May 19, 2006. The conference theme is “Humanitarian
Robotics,” reflecting the strong potential of robotic
technology in areas such as demining, search/rescue missions,
homeland security, humanoid robots, personal and service robots,
etc. Papers from academic and industrial communities and government
agencies are solicited in all areas of robotics and automation.
For general and technical program inquiries about the conference,
please contact the conference General Chairs, Norman Caplan (nscaplan@comcast.net)
and Dr. George Lee (csglee@purdue.edu),
and the Program Chair, Dr. Nikos Papanikolopoulos (admin@icra2006.org),

charge of US$200 per page. We will also accept three-page posters (in PDF format).
Detailed instructions for paper/poster submission and format can be found
on the conference web site

Tutorial & Workshop Proposals: Proposals
for half-day or full-day tutorials and workshops must be submitted
to the Tutorials/Workshops Chair. Proposals that address topics
related to the conference theme as well as robotics and automation
in general are welcome. Proposals must include (1) Title, (2)

of the ideas in the paper, and has done the work as part of an
academic degree program. The student’s advisor should send
